Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning (1 oz)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)

1 cup shredded lettuce

1/2 cup sour cream

1 package wonton wrappers (about 24 wrappers)

1 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Jalapeño slices for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Season with salt and pepper and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.

Add Seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning and a splash of water (about 2 tablespoons). Cook according to the seasoning packet instructions, usually about 5 minutes, until well combined.

Prepare Wonton Cups: Lightly brush a muffin tin with olive oil. Take a wonton wrapper and press it into each muffin cup to form a little cup shape. Make sure the edges of the wonton wrappers hang over the edge of the cups a bit.

Fill Wonton Cups: Bake the wonton wrappers in the preheated oven for about 8 minutes, or until they start to turn golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and fill each wonton cup with a spoonful of the cooked beef mixture followed by a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.

Bake Again: Return the muffin tin to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Assemble: Once removed from the oven, let the taco cups cool for a couple of minutes. Carefully lift them out of the muffin tin and place them on a serving plate.

Top & Serve: Top each taco cup with diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and a dollop of sour cream. Garnish with fresh cilantro or jalapeño slices if desired.

Enjoy: Serve immediately while hot and crispy!
